My socks are bigger on the inside

Pattern: Tardis Socks

Yarn: Valley Yarns Huntington in Blue and White

I actually finished these a couple of weeks ago, but finally got around to taking some pictures.

The TARDIS (Time and Relative Dimension in Space) is a magical box used by the Doctor on the tv show Doctor Who. The Doctor travels in time and space using the TARDIS, which is bigger on the inside. Yes, it is bigger on the inside. The outside is a wooden box the size of a telephone box, but inside it’s huge. (I bet Superman wishes the phone boxes he uses were this big. It must be hard to rip off your clothes in such a small space.)

Sadly, the insides of my socks are no bigger than the outsides. The pattern doesn’t tell you how to make adult-sized socks with kid-sized amounts of yarn. Think how fast you could get done if your socks really were bigger on the inside. Second sock syndrome would nearly disappear because they’d go so fast. Also no chafing.
